Eels centre Will Penisini has had a successful night at the NRL judiciary after he was found not guilty of a grade one careless high tackle.
Penisini was hit with a $1800 fine from the Eels clash with the Titans but made the rare move to appeal that decision.
If found guilty at the judiciary, he risked a $2500 fine.

The incident came in the 12th minute of Parramatta’s shocking loss against the Gold Coast when Penisini was judged to have hit Beau Fermor high.
Fermor was tackled low by Mitch Moses with Penisini going high before he was penalised for high contact.

The centre was not impressed with the decision and there was limited reaction on commentary.
Penisini was the only charge to come from that match despite Jayden Campbell being placed on report for dangerous contact. Campbell’s tackle wasn’t deemed dangerous enough for a fine by the match review committee.

There were nine players charged by the match review committee for a careless high tackle over round six.
Casey McLean and Patrick Carrigan both copped bans while Trent Loiero had the biggest fine of $3000 for his third offence.
