Day 2 of the NBA play-in tournament has already delivered some must-watch TV.

The Philadelphia 76ers used 31 points from Tyrese Maxey to quell 34 points from a persistent Desmond Bane, who kept his Orlando Magic squad alive until the Sixers pulled away for good in the fourth quarter. With a 109-97 win, Philadelphia claimed the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference and booked its ticket to the first round of the playoffs, where it will face the No. 2 seeded Boston Celtics.

The Magic, meanwhile, are in jeopardy of missing out on the main bracket. Orlando’s season will be on the line Friday night, when it will welcome in a Charlotte Hornets team that’s buzzing after it opened the play-in tournament with an overtime win over the Miami Heat on Tuesday. Whoever wins will claim the No. 8 seed and take on the top-seeded Detroit Pistons in the opening round of the playoffs.

Next up on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Clippers are hosting the Golden State Warriors with a trip to face the Phoenix Suns for a playoff spot hanging in the balance. The Clippers also played the Warriors at home in their regular-season finale, defeating Golden State 115-110 despite sitting Kawhi Leonard. After missing 27 games this season with a knee injury, Steph Curry will continue on a minutes restriction in a win-or-go-home matchup, head coach Steve Kerr confirmed.

Los Angeles leads at the half, with Kawhi Leonard at 14 points and 6 rebounds. The best that can be said for the Warriors is they’re only down single digits in a game where Stephen Curry briefly exited with an apparent injury and is currently shooting 2-of-9 from the field.

Kristaps Porzingis and Brandin Podziemski have been the best players on the floor for Golden State, while Darius Garland has been an effective co-star for Leonard so far.

Kawhi Leonard is ridiculous. He just went coast-to-coast with multiple Warriors in his pocket, or worse. Someone should have been called for a foul, but he makes it to the baseline with the ball and gets the two most-earned points of the night.

Astonishing levels of (ineffective) cringe.

Clippers take a 9-point lead with 3:24 left in the first half and Kawhi Leonard is starting to take over. He has 11 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

Meanwhile, Stephen Curry is at 3 points on 1-of-6 shooting, the Warriors have combined for 8 turnovers and Draymond Green just got called for a tech out of the break.

Another good sequence for the Clippers and they’re back up by 5. They’ll need to figure some stuff out on defense if they want to keep that lead, though, as Golden State has been getting way too many open shots around the rim.

Both teams’ stars are back in four minutes into the second quarter.

Stephen Curry is still on the bench with a knee wrap, but the Warriors have taken the lead with an 11-0 run to open the second quarter. That’s what three minutes of rest for Kawhi Leonard will do for the Clippers.

Looks like Curry has returned to the Warriors’ bench, we’ll see if he checks back in. Meanwhile, the Clippers have opened up a nine-point lead as the first quarter ends. It was all Clippers, then all Warriors, then back-and-forth, then all Clippers again.

It’s unclear what happened, but Steph Curry is heading to the Golden State locker room. Absolute last thing they want to see.

The Warriors post a 10-2 run out of the timeout and now it’s the Clippers calling time. We just saw a Draymond Green 3-pointer.

The Clippers the game on a 12-2 run and that’s enough to prompt a timeout from Steve Kerr. They have so far looked like the far more physical, faster team.

Los Angeles wins the tip and the second game of the night has begun at the Intuit Dome. Winner plays the Suns on Friday. Loser’s season is over.

Philadelphia advances to the playoffs as the No. 7 seed in the East and will play the Celtics in the first round. The Magic will play the Hornets on Friday.

Tyrese Maxey had 31 points, while Andre Drummond and VJ Edgecombe both posted double-doubles.

Andre Drummoned (!!!!) hits a 23-foot jumper to put Philly up 11 with 41 seconds remaining. The Sixers can start booking flights to Boston.

This one appears to be over. Jalen Suggs is blocked in transition, Kelly Oubre draws and makes a pair of fouls and Franz Wagner exits the game with an apparent injury.

A Franz Wagner floater keeps the Magic within striking distance as we enter crunch time. Tyrese Maxey has stepped up for the Sixers on offense but the team looks significantly out of sync aside from him. We’ll see if anyone else can keep them ahead.
