Student housing owner and operator Scape Australia has appointed Kieran Preston as General Manager of International Leasing and Commercial Strategy by The Living Company.
Building on his time leading leasing and revenue, this new chapter expands Kieran’s remit into international leasing and market growth, management and operating partnerships, and supporting the build of Scape’s Build to Rent leasing and operating strategy. Kieran has stated that these are areas he is genuinely passionate about and excited to build in.
“The living sector is evolving fast, and I couldn’t be more motivated to grow with it – developing new commercial capabilities, expanding into new markets, and helping grow our platform that sets the standard for what institutional student (PBSA) and residential living can look like at scale. Grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to what’s ahead.”

Last year, Scape secured a A$434.3m equity commitment from Korea National Pension Service (NPS) to boost its investment strategies in the living sector. The commitment from the $800bn Korean pension fund bolsters Scape’s long-term growth ambitions.
The Build to Rent developments under this partnership will be operated through management company Rent to Live Co, which was established by Stephen Gaitanos and Craig Carracher.
