Aprilia says its MotoGP-inspired X 250th special-edition street bike sold out all its units in just two weeks, following its reveal at the US Grand Prix.

The Italian manufacturer revealed the special X 250th during the Austin MotoGP round, decked out in a stars and stripes livery to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the USA’s signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The RSV4-based X is, according to Aprilia, “the first and only bike on the market in the world fitted with carbon-carbon brakes”, which is technology derived from its MotoGP bike.

In a press release from Aprilia, the X “enables braking performance and feel comparable to that of the Aprilia RS-GP ridden by Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin”.

The X 250th also features updated aerodynamics to bring it closer in spec to the MotoGP bike it is inspired by.

Aprilia unveiled the bike on 27 March during the US MotoGP weekend, with the firm noting that requests for the machine were immediate.

An ultra-rare model, with just 30 examples produced, all of them – priced at $150k – sold out in just two weeks.

“The ‘X’ brand continues to establish itself as one of the most exclusive and desirable

expressions of Aprilia Racing,” Aprilia CEO Massimo Rivola said.

“These bikes are at the same time collector’s items and tools for riders who are aware they can experience a riding sensation extremely close to that of MotoGP.

“Once again announcing a sell-out just two weeks after launch is a concrete demonstration of the strength and uniqueness of these true jewels.”

The Aprilia press release adds: “With this new sell-out, the success of the X series is further consolidated.

“It is the sixth generation of a unique global project launched in 2019 with the RSV4 X, followed in 2020 by the Tuono X, in 2022 by the RSV4 X Trenta, in 2024 by the RSV4 X ex3ma, and in 2025 by

the RSV4 X-GP.

“These extraordinary models, distinguished by the “X”, represent the highest achievable level of technology and performance available on a production-derived bike sold to the general public.”

Aprilia has made a dominant start to the 2026 MotoGP season, with Bezzecchi winning all three grands prix so far to extend his victory streak to five.

He leads the championship from team-mate Jorge Martin, who scored his first Aprilia podiums in Brazil and the USA.

Aprilia also leads the manufacturers’ and teams’ standings after the first three rounds.
