It was a night of celebrating and remembering at Bishop Verot High School on Monday as the school inducted five distinguished alums into its Hall of Fame.Each of these names carries some incredible stories, but this year’s class stands apart because it features a household name in major league baseball.Former player turned coach Daniel Vogelbach was cemented into Vikings history on Monday night, adding another chapter to what has been quite an athletic journey for him.He scored the winning run for the Vikings in the 2011 State Title game, while rocking a .551 batting average that year.He went on to play nine seasons in the MLB before transitioning to a coach, working as an assistant hitting coach for the Milwaukee Brewers.Even while taking part on the biggest stage, Daniel could never forget to come back to his roots.
