The WTA Rankings paint a very different picture. Aryna Sabalenka remains peerless and unchallenged at the top as we head to the Spanish capital.
Sabalenka and the rest of the seeded players have a bye but the women’s singles starts on Tuesday, with Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia and legendary American Venus Williams among those in action.
