EastEnders spoilers follow from Tuesday’s episode (12 August), which is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer but hasn’t yet aired on BBC One.
EastEnders has confirmed the outcome of Avani Nandra-Hart’s pregnancy plot after Avani makes a decision that leaves Suki feeling devastated.
Viewers will know that Avani’s grandmother Suki plans to raise the teenager’s baby as her own along with her wife Eve.
The latest episode saw Avani go through with her decision to terminate the pregnancy accompanied by Eve. But with the pair going behind Suki’s back, how will she take the news?
In today’s episode, Suki became suspicious of Avani and Eve when they made an excuse to go off together, unaware they intended to go to a clinic.
Eve worried about lying to Suki. “I think we should tell Suki,” Eve said. “I don’t think I can keep something this big from her because we’ve promised to be honest with each other.”

Avani begged Eve not to tell her until after the procedure, saying that Suki will try to make her keep the baby and Eve said she will speak to Suki first.
When Eve went to talk to Suki, she told Eve that she was worried about Avani wanting to terminate the pregnancy, so Eve decided to keep Avani’s secret.
Eve found Avani, telling her she didn’t tell Suki. “She’ll try to sway you and this has to be your decision,” Eve told Avani, saying she doesn’t want anything to influence her and they headed to the clinic.

Following the procedure, a tearful Avani told Eve she wanted to find her mum Priya and tell her the truth. “I just really want my mum. I want to tell her everything,” she cried.
Meanwhile, Stacey helped Suki see that she had to be honest with Ravi and Priya, so she headed home to tell them about Avani’s secret pregnancy.
When Suki arrived home, she was confronted by Priya and Ravi, who had already been told the truth by Avani. The furious pair let slip the shocking news that Avani had had a termination, saying: “There is no baby.”
Suki turned to Eve, who told her she was sorry, and Avani confirmed that she had had an abortion.
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
