The All Blacks travel to the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes to face Los Pumas in the latest chapter of The Rugby Championship. History leans heavily toward New Zealand, but Argentina enter with home confidence and a chance at a milestone victory.

Here’s the statistical breakdown ahead of Saturday’s matchup as Los Pumas chase history with a first-ever home victory over the All Blacks.

2025 Argentina vs New Zealand All Blacks – Men’s

Argentina Rugby vs. All Blacks By The Numbers

35 of 39 — New Zealand have won 35 of their 39 men’s Tests against Argentina, including four of the last five.

Across that recent run, the All Blacks have averaged 42 points per game. Unbeaten in Argentina, the All Blacks have never lost a Test match in Argentina (13 wins, one draw).

2 of 4 — Argentina have won their opening match of The Rugby Championship in two of the last four campaigns.

This record is in place when Los Pumas enter the Championship off the back of a win, including the 2020 Tri-Nations. They beat Uruguay 52-17 in their most recent Test.

3 of 5 — Los Pumas have won three of their last five home Tests, with notable scalps against Australia and South Africa.

Their only home defeats in that stretch were against England, twice in July when Felipe Contepomi opted to rest several of his front line starting players.

5 of 6 — New Zealand have won five of their last six Tests played outside of New Zealand, but haven’t scored more than 30 points in any of their last four matches away from home.

9 of 10 — The All Blacks have won nine of their last 10 Tests overall, including their last four straight. That streak includes a 3-0 series sweep of France in July 2025.

1 try conceded — In five of those last 10 games, New Zealand have restricted their opponents to exactly one try.

250 — Argentina’s next victory will be their 250th in men’s Test rugby.

6 — Los Pumas have won six matches across the last three editions of The Rugby Championship — matching the total number of wins they had earned in all previous editions combined.

8% — Argentina’s win rate against New Zealand is just 8%, their lowest against any opponent they’ve faced more than four times.

3.3 — Argentina averaged 3.3 tries per game in the 2024 Rugby Championship — their highest rate in a single edition.

408 — The Pumas averaged 408 metres gained per match in that same tournament, their best figure since 2019 (429m).

13 — New Zealand have made 13 offloads per game in 2024, the most among the Rugby Championship teams.

3 — Argentina are the only team in the tournament to have scored multiple tries directly from offloads this year (three total).

9 — Juan Cruz Mallía made nine offloads in the 2024 Rugby Championship, the most of any player.

The Stade Toulousain back also logged two tackle breaks and a try in his last match against New Zealand (Aug. 17, 2024).

19 — Rieko Ioane’s 19 tries in The Rugby Championship are the most of any player in competition history.

Against Argentina, however, he has scored just five tries overall and only two in his last six meetings.

19 in 18 — Will Jordan has scored 19 tries in his last 18 Tests.

That tally includes five tries in his last four matches and five tries across his last two starts against Argentina.

1 — This will be the first time Argentina host New Zealand in Córdoba since 2012

When the two sides last met at the venue, the All Blacks emerged with a dominant 54-15 victory to secure an unbeaten run through the Championship.

With New Zealand chasing perfection on Argentine soil and Argentina eyeing both history and a landmark 250th win, Saturday’s clash will pit one of rugby’s most dominant forces against a home side capable of punishing any lapse.
