Jos Verstappen has suffered a frightening crash at the Rallye de Wallonie but remarkably walked away unscathed.
The Dutchman, 54, the dad of four-time Formula 1 world champion Max, was competing at the Belgian event alongside Jasper Vermeulen as his regular partner Renaud Jamoul was recovering from ankle surgery.
The pair abandoned the race following the high-speed crash — which saw the car strike a tree while trying to perform a right turn.

The person capturing the amateur footage then loses sight of the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 as the tree falls into the road, before they catch up with the vehicle which has flipped over on its side and has smoke coming out of it.
A wheel and a host of debris was also scattered across the road.
Fortunately, the race organisers later confirmed Verstappen and Vermeulen were not injured in the scary crash.
A statement read: “Jos ‘The Bos’ Verstappen’ has been forced to leave after a crash at Loyers.
“A clearly nightmare weekend for the pilot, who already had the absence of his co-pilot Renaud Jamoul, injured following a double fracture of the malleolus.
“Despite everything, more fear than harm. Jos Verstappen and Jasper Vermeulen come out unharmed.”
Verstappen also reportedly told GPblog he is “all good” following the incident.
He competed in F1 from 1994 to 2003 — claiming two podiums and 17 points across 106 starts.
Since leaving F1, he has raced in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and earned some impressive rally wins including the Belgian title.
He has also been ever-present for son Max’s F1 dominance — where he claimed four successive Drivers’ Championships between 2021 and 2024.
But he has recently cast doubt over his future in the sport after strongly opposing the new regulations — which he has compared to “Mario Kart”.
The 2026 F1 season has been on a five-week hiatus due to the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix being cancelled, but returns this weekend in Miami.
Verstappen has picked up just 12 points in the opening three races and already sits 60 points adrift of leader Kimi Antonelli.
