“Freaky” is still set to scrap “Down Under.”
Must-watch Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight prospect, Marwan Rahiki, has his next 125-pound opponent. Indeed, after Jack Jenkins withdrew last week, Rahiki will now face City Kickboxing’s Ollie Schmid on just four days’ notice at UFC Perth this weekend (Sat., May 2, 2026) inside RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia.
Rahiki (8-0) returns to action two months after his breakout performance in his Octagon debut, where he battered Harry Hardwick, breaking his jaw in the second round en route to a “Fight of the Night”-winning bonus. Before that, Rahiki earned his contract on Contender Series in a wild two-round war with Ananias Mulumba, where he was nearly finished several times.
Now, he’ll look to keep that momentum rolling in front of a home crowd.
Instead of pulling from the deeper pool of established regional contenders, the promotion tapped Israel Adesanya’s teammate, Schmid, for the short-notice opportunity. The 24-year-old “Hungarian Stallion” enters with a 4-2 professional record (7-3 amateur), riding a three-fight win streak, most recently scoring a 15-second spinning backfist knockout.
Schmid has finished three of his four wins and has gone to the scorecards just once in his career.
