Kendrick Nunn reacts to game-winning free throw, Badio’s block

Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens star Kendrick Nunn delivered a star-worthy performance in the EuroLeague playoffs Game 1 against Valencia Basket.

Nunn finished the game with 21 points (5/8 2PT, 3/10 3PT, 2/4 FT), 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal in 33 minutes of action.

Most importantly, he made the game-winning free-throw with 2.1 seconds left that decided Panathinaikos 68-67 win.

“Make the free throw. That’s it,” Nunn told BasketNews about his mindset before the crucial free throws.

“I got the experience of a veteran player,” Nunn continued about his overall performance. “This is my fifth playoff, including the league [NBA]. So I got the experience there. And just want to come out aggressive.”

“It’s not a regular season. It’s not a regular season game. So I approach it like that. And that’s how it would be for the rest of the season,” Nunn added.

Despite his heroics, Nunn also ended up on the wrong side of the highlights after being blocked by Brancou Badio.

Even though a case could have been made for a foul, Nunn credited his opponent.

“It was probably clean play. It was probably clean play. It was a great chase down by him. It was a good play,” Nunn concluded.
