Veterans and defence personnel have warned the proposed sale of military-owned golf courses would damage mental health and fracture a key source of community support, leaving members priced out of other clubs.
Defence Minister Richard Marles announced in February that the government would sell 67 military sites following the release of an independent audit that found they had little strategic value.
