Game Recap: Rams v Nuggets
Result: The Wheeler Motor Company Canterbury Rams (87) defeat Night ‘n Day Otago Nuggets (72)
One of the more exciting matchups of the season as a top offence of The Wheeler Motor Company Canterbury Rams would face a difficult defence in the Night ‘n Day Otago Nuggets. While the teams would trade bucket early in the first and only a 2 point margin would come out of it for the Rams, it would be the second quarter in which the Rams’ offence would overpower the defence of the Nuggets. Taylor Britt would have 16 points in the first to lead his team with a 9 point lead headed into the second half. The third and fourth quarter would be much the same as the the Nuggets weren’t able to find the offence that had powered them to 4 wins on the season already. The big three of Britt, Brown and Andrew would carry the squad through to the end as the Rams would take the victory.

Right after we’d had our first overtime game of the season, the Mad Butcher Canterbury Rams and Night ‘n Day Otago Nuggets wanted to share the spotlight. The first quarter would have a focus on defence as both teams would combine for only 13 points. After that, they’d turn up the scoring and trade buckets until ultimately equaling each other before heading to overtime. Here Christian Martin would add to his total with a big 3 that would end up sealing the match and moving him up to 20 points.
