Databricks, a private US artificial intelligence software company that counts some of Australia’s biggest companies as clients and has been touted for a big-money public float, plans to invest $416 million to expand its Australian operations over the next two years.
The 13-year-old company is valued at $US134 billion ($186 billion), having raised over $US20 billion from major US venture capital firms like Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), and sovereign wealth funds including Australia’s Future Fund.
