Sources say an arbitrator has ruled in favour of the Philadelphia Flyers in a grievance filed by the NHLPA following the termination of Ryan Johansen’s contract in August, 2024. The Flyers cited a “material breach” as grounds for termination.

An arbitrator has ruled in favour of the Philadelphia Flyers in a grievance filed by the NHLPA following the termination of Ryan Johansen’s contract in August of 2024, according to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger.
Johansen hasn’t played since before his contract was terminated, and at 33 and coming off his surgery, well, he’d get $4 million if he was a righty defender.
As Postmedia reported yesterday, the price for land at LeBreton was north of $30 million. To clarify, I am hearing today that the #Sens will pay over $35 million for the 11 acres once this transaction is completed with the NCC.
