ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Winona State women’s golf team ended round two of the NCAA Central Regional in 18th place.
After the second round, Winona State currently sits in 18th place with a team score of 669 (+93) and sits behind the Wayne State Wildcats who have a team score of 651 (+75). #35 ranked Rogers State is currently in first place with a team score of 617 (+41).
At the top of the lineup in round two for the Warriors was Kessa Mara who carded a round of 82 (+10) moving her to 32 over par overall and into a tie for 93rd place. Lindsey Lund and Megan Young were next up for Winona State with round two scores of 83 (+11) and 84 (+12), respectively. Young was the only Warrior to card a birdie in round two, coming on the 10th hole, a 504-yard par five.
Georgia Volley and Maeve McDougal rounded out the WSU lineup with round two scores of 89 (+17) and 93 (+21). With one round to go, Winona State looks to build off their regular season success and make positive push up the leader board.
The Warriors will finish the NCAA DII Central Regional Championship tomorrow, May 6th.
