The team has also called up the club’s #1 prospect.
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Bisons baseball is back in Buffalo this week, and some new and old faces are gracing the Sahlen Field clubhouse.
Former all-star Alek Manoah will be taking the mound Wednesday against Lehigh Valley IronPigs after a long trip in the minors.
Manoah has not pitched with Toronto since posting a 1-2 record in five starts in 2024. Injury riddled seasons have hampered his production since reaching the MLB all-star game in 2022.Â

Manoah played in 4 games for the Bisons in the 2024 season and pitched against Pittsburgh Pirates star Paul Skenes in his last appearance with the Herd in April of last year.
The club’s #1 prospect will also be tossing the pill this homestand. Trey Yesavage will be making his Triple-A debut Thursday after a fast track through the minor leagues.
The right-handed prospect was drafted by the Blue Jays in the first round of the 2024 draft, and has made his way through Single-A, High-A and Double-A in just 19 professional appearances. So far in his minor-league career he has a 5 wins to only 1 loss and has thrown 134 strikeouts across 80 innings.
