Australia, get ready to be raised up.

Irish pop superstars Westlife have announced they’re heading to Australia as part of their Westlife 25: The Anniversary World Tour.

The local leg of their tour, produced by Live Nation, will see them bring a greatest hits set to Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane next July before heading to New Zealand for two shows.

Westlife has also today released a new album, titled 25 – The Ultimate Collection, which brings together their biggest singles, including You Raise Me Up, Uptown Girl and Flying Without Wings, as well as some fresh material.

Westlife are an Irish pop group formed in Dublin in 1998. The group consists of members Nicky Byrne, Shane Filan and Kian Egan. Brian McFadden was a member of the band before leaving to pursue a solo career in March 2004, while Mark Feehily bowed out of touring in 2024 due to health issues.

“We can’t believe it’s been 20 years since we last toured in Australia and New Zealand, so it only felt right that we should come back and celebrate our 25th Anniversary together,” the pop group said in a statement.

“We have always loved coming back to this part of the world as the fans have always made our trips so memorable and special – you have the loudest fans in the world.

“The 25th Anniversary show will be our most exciting and ambitious to date and of course, we will be performing all of the hits. Australia and New Zealand – we cannot wait to see you!”

The group will begin their Aussie run of shows at the RAC Arena in Perth on July 16, before moving on to Adelaide’s Entertainment Centre on July 18, then to the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on July 21 and Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on 23 July. Their last show Down Under will be at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on 26 July.

A MasterCard presage begins next Tuesday, May 12, with the Live Nation presage launching on Thursday, May 14.

The general tickets sale begins on Friday, May 15. More details can be found at Live Nation’s website.

During their record-breaking 25-year run, Westlife have had major global success, selling over 55 million records and more than six million concert tickets.

Since reuniting in 2019, the band have performed over 200 shows across 30 countries.
