At the TicketLink Live Arena (Seoul Olympic Handball Stadium), the MMA (MMA) competition Z-Fight Night 04 will be held at 3 p.m. on May 9. It consists of five undercard games and eight main cards.
Following the undercard YouTube Live, OTT service UFC Fight Pass will broadcast the main card (6th to 13th games) live globally except in Latin America at 6 p.m. Chosen Choi Joon-seo (25, Korean Zombie MMA) and Josh Michael Quinlan (33, USA) will face off in the 5th minute of welterweight (77kg) × 3rd round for the 10th game (5th main card).

Korean Zombie Jung Chan-sung (39) is the best ever in South Korea, who has won two UFC featherweight (66kg) titles. He will also serve as the head of mixed martial arts organization ZFN from June 2024. Choi Jun-seo is the first Black Kombat welterweight champion. Josh Michael Quinlan had a UFC 1-3 record from 2022-2024.
According to the ZFN podcast Z-Real Show EP.03, Choi Jun-seo was pointed out as a disadvantage by Josh Michael Quinlan for ▲ lack of grappling ability ▲ face defense issues in close-up batting battles.

Choi Jun-seo said, “Josh Michael Quinlan tries to stand up as soon as he falls. “I don’t like the clinch situation either, but it’s a type of striker that falls,” he said. In other words, he doesn’t seem to be a player who does something on the ground.
In September 2023, Choi Jun-seo beat 11th DEEP welterweight champion Shingo Suzuki (40, Japan) with a punch TKO 2 minutes and 29 seconds into the away game at Gorakuen Hall in Tokyo. As of May 4, 2026, DEEP is Asia’s fifth and 12th largest mixed martial arts organization with 101 people ranked in the “Fight Matrix” world.
Choi Jun-seo said, “I know well that my face tends to open a little when I narrow down the distance. It’s definitely a really dangerous habit, so I’m constantly preparing to break it,” he said, affirming Josh Michael Quinlan.

Since May 2017, only Korean or Japanese players have experienced 13 mixed martial arts games. Through ZFN04, he will compete with an opponent outside Asia for the first time in 3284 days (8 years, 11 months and 27 days) since his professional debut. It is also the first time that he will face a former UFC fighter.
However, Choi Jun-seo said, “I’m confident if there’s a firestorm,” adding, “I don’t think I’ll lose to Josh Michael Quinlan.” Choi Joon-seo with a 66.7% KO win rate and Quinlan with a 75.0% KO win rate, but it is calculated that it would be better if it were a one-shot fight.
Choi Jun-seo said, “The range of hits is short. Of course, the explosive power within the realm is really strong, but that’s all. If you keep your distance, you can win enough. “After the second half of the second round, my physical strength dropped, but I’m okay,” he said, pointing out Josh Michael Quinlan’s weaknesses.

However, being good at batting for a long time and grappling may be different. Whether Choi Joon-seo can maintain his endurance after wrestling and jiu-jitsu battles with Josh Michael Quinlan is likely to be a variable that determines the ZFN04 result.
