Revamped format revealed for the 2025 Cycling Esports World Championships

In an expansive arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE, rows of the world’s best cycling esports riders, poised stadium-style on the sport’s grandest stage, battled for the fourth world title in the emerging discipline’s brief history. 

It was a scene unimaginable a few years ago – the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships had arrived for its first live event final in 2024 on MyWhoosh, blending real athletes with a man-made competitive metaverse.

Now, the UCI and MyWhoosh have confirmed details for the 2025 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships, scheduled for November 15 at the Space 42 Arena in Abu Dhabi. Now in its fifth edition, the championship builds on the momentum of the 2024 event by again bringing the world’s top cycling esports athletes together for a live, in-person final.
