After a one-year hiatus, the NFL has brought back the accelerator program, an event meant to connect up-and-coming coaches and executives with league decision makers. It was originally created in 2022 with the intention of increasing diversity in leadership roles but paused in 2025. It returns this week in Orlando on Monday and Tuesday for the owners meeting.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, it is a smaller group in its return.

“The May accelerator is intended to focus on advancing talent from underrepresented groups,” the NFL wrote in a March memo addressed to all 32 teams, “while remaining open to qualified senior-level candidates of all backgrounds.” That includes non-minority candidates.
In this year’s program, no one is participating from the Arizona Cardinals.
Here is the full list.
Two names should look familiar. Klayton Adams was the Cardinals’ offensive line coach before becoming Dallas‘ offensive coordinator last year, and Josh McCown started his NFL career playing for the Cardinals.

It would appear the Cardinals have no one who is ready to be a coach or GM.
