Bayern close to signing Xavier Rathan-Mayes

Xavier Rathan-Mayes is on the verge of a new chapter in his career, with Bayern reportedly close to securing his signature.

The Canadian guard struggled to find his rhythm last season with Real Madrid, and a fresh start in Germany could offer the perfect reset.

After an explosive run with Enisey in the VTB League—where he averaged nearly 26 points along with solid all-around numbers—expectations were high when he joined the Spanish giants.

However, his time in Madrid didn’t go as planned. Limited minutes in both the EuroLeague and the ACB kept him mostly sidelined, with his last EuroLeague appearance coming back in February.

While still under contract with Real, Rathan-Mayes is expected to depart this summer. According to insider Chema de Lucas, Bayern is pushing to complete the deal soon, as the German champions begin reshaping their roster for the upcoming season.
