IF you are planning to head to this weekend’s Tyrepower Tasmania Super 400, it would be prudent to pack the winter woollies and perhaps a raincoat.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, the Friday forecast for the nearby town of Perth is perhaps the best of the bunch, with a temperature range from a crisp 2 °C through to 16 °C.
The day has only a 10 per cent chance of precipitation for the twin practice sessions.
Saturday’s temperatures are predicted to be between 4 °C and 15 °C, with a 70 per cent chance of 0 to 3mm of rain.
That day will feature a pair of 120km-long races.
On Sunday, there is also a 70 per cent chance of rain, with 0 to 6mm possible.
Temperatures on the main 200km race day will range between 5 °C and 14 °C.
The undercard for the event is set to feature the V8 SuperUtes, Touring Car Masters, Aussie Racing Cars and Tasmanian Tin Tops.
