Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher have been discussing what the future holds for West Ham ahead of the new Premier League season.
Last term, under Graham Potter, the Hammers finished 14th and will be looking to end up in the top half for the 2025/26 campaign.
West Ham have done well in pre-season, but the English top flight is a completely different ball game.
It has been a relatively quiet transfer window, as just four new players, including El Hadji Malick Diouf, have joined.

Another player who joined the Hammers this summer was Mads Hemansen, moving permanently from Leicester City.
Potter wanted a new number one goalkeeper as Alphonse Areola has not been impressive between the sticks.
While the Englishman appears to be content with his signing, Roy Keane does not seem too impressed.

In his view, Hermansen, 25. didn’t do particularly well for Leicester in the Premier League last season.
Keane made these comments about the Danish keeper after Jamie Carragher asked if the Hammers were in a relegation fight.
Carragher told Sky Sports’ Overlap at 46:38: “Is West Ham in a relegation fight or getting relegated?”
To which Keane responded: “Jamie, they just bought that keeper from Leicester. He’s losing every two minutes.”
West Ham make right move to sign Hermansen
Signing Hermansen was a shrewd move by West Ham, addressing their urgent need for a reliable goalkeeper while aligning with Potter’s tactical vision.
The 25-year-old Dane brings proven Premier League quality and experience, which will come in handy.
His exceptional shot-stopping complements his ball-playing ability, crucial for Potter’s possession-based system.
Hermansen’s footwork and composure in build-up play make him an ideal fit.
With Areola’s inconsistent pre-season form and Lukasz Fabianski’s departure, Hermansen’s arrival bolsters depth and competition.
His ambition, bravery and prior success suggest he can thrive, potentially securing Denmark’s No. 1 spot while anchoring West Ham’s defence.
Hopefully, he can hit the ground running and silence his critics as there is going to be tremendous pressure on his shoulders since day one.
