DJI has debuted the Osmo Pocket 4P at Cannes, marking a major step forward in handheld cinematic imaging. Building on its leadership in gimbal and imaging technology, DJI positions the new device as a compact filmmaking tool designed to bring professional-grade cinematic performance into a truly pocket-sized format.

Since pioneering the handheld gimbal camera category in 2015 and launching one of the world’s first pocket gimbal cameras in 2018, DJI has continued to reshape how creators capture motion and visual stories. With the Osmo Pocket 4P, the company further expands the possibilities of portable filmmaking.

Debuting at one of the film industry’s most influential global stages, the Osmo Pocket 4P reflects DJI’s ambition to evolve the Pocket series from a creator-focused device into a cinematic imaging system capable of professional storytelling. Drawing from DJI’s experience across its Ronin stabilizer and Inspire cinema drone platforms, the new model combines advanced imaging technology with ultra-portable design.

The Osmo Pocket 4P features a next-generation imaging system with 17 stops dynamic range and 10-bit D-Log2 color performance, supporting professional color grading workflows while maintaining lightweight portability. DJI’s stabilization technology further enables smooth cinematic capture in fast-moving and unpredictable environments.

Already attracting attention from filmmakers, documentary creators, and visual storytellers in Cannes, the Osmo Pocket 4P is designed for agile production workflows and mobile-first filmmaking. DJI says the device reflects a broader shift in cinematic storytelling, where high-quality production is no longer limited to large-scale equipment setups.

The new model also introduces enhanced portrait imaging, improved zoom capabilities, and upgraded low-light performance. These features are designed to support a wide range of content creation needs, from interviews and vlogs to documentary and narrative filmmaking.

Availability and pricing for the Osmo Pocket 4P will be announced through DJI’s official channels and authorized retail partners at a later date.
