Rome, Italy – Ecuadorian Jonathan Narvaez continued his brilliance in the current edition of the Giro d’Italia 2026, after giving the Emirates-XRG team its fourth victory in the race stages. The third is for him personally, after his coronation, on Wednesday, in the eleventh stage, which extended between Burkari and Chiavari.
Narvaez was able to decide the stage after a strong offensive performance, as he joined the main escape group after an arduous chase. Before beating Spain’s Enrique Mas, a Movistar rider, in the final Sprint. He crossed the finish line in 4:33:43 hours, while Diego Olise came third, 11 seconds behind.
In the overall race standings, Portuguese Afonso Eulalio retained the pink jersey with a total time of 44:17:41 hours. 27 seconds ahead of Denmark’s Jonas Vingegaard. While Dutchman Taemen Arensman came third, 1 minute and 57 seconds behind.
