Cycling Without Age is a charity that provides free trishaw rides for older adults and those who are less able to get out and about.

Judith Denwood, Cycling Without Age’s Peebles branch captain, said they were ‘phenomenally grateful’, commenting: “We’ve had really positive conversations and they’re going to provide a garage for storage and electric charging points.

“Eildon Housing already houses our current bikes so it’s great to be working with them again and having them continue to provide support and storage.

“We’re phenomenally grateful for that because really it’s going to keep us going.”

James Renwick of JR Construction added: “Cycling Without Age struggle for storage of their bikes so there’s going to be purpose-built and dedicated storage facilities and charging points for their e-bikes.”

The 22-property development in the town is expected to be completed in September.
