An insider has claimed that Angelina Jolie launched a targeted “campaign of alienation” in a successful bid to turn Brad Pitt’s children against him.
Since their messy split, Pitt has been mostly estranged from Angelina and all of their children despite him having visitation time included as a stipulation in their divorce.
A source close to the former couple has claimed that while Pitt remains a popular figure within Hollywood, he’s become nothing more than a pariah to his children because of the actions of their mother.
A pal of the former couple told the Daily Mail: “There has been a campaign of alienation [by Jolie] which has been successful. The antagonism is huge. He has been alienated from the kids completely. It is devastating to him.”
Another source told TMZ that despite not being barred from attending, Pitt made no effort whatsoever to attend the graduation of his daughter, Zahara, last weekend.
“Zahara’s mum and siblings, who have been involved over the four very special years, were present and cheering her and her Spelman sisters on”.
The source added: “Nothing prevented him from showing up for her. Or ever visiting her. The day was about all she accomplished. Not whether he was willing to attend”.
The source added that Pitt failed to communicate any form of desire to attend the event, and never attempted to get tickets.
The latest reports come just months after Jolie and Pitt’s eldest son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, dropped Pitt from his last name in the credits of the actor’ newest movie.
Maddox, 24, worked as an assistant director on Couture, a newly released drama starring his mum. Angelina plays the role of Maxine Walker, a woman diagnosed with breast cancer whose life intersects with two other women during Paris Fashion Week.
When the Alice Winocour-directed film debuted in French movie theatres on Wednesday, Maddox’s name was listed as “Maddox Jolie” in the end credits.
The beloved actor shares five other kids with her ex-husband: Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 19, and 17-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.
Sadly for Pitt, Maddox isn’t the only one of their children to drop his iconic last name.
Zahara also left off “Pitt” from her name during her Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority induction ceremony at Spelman College back in 2023.
During the probate, the then-teen referred to herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie”.
In 2024, Shiloh dropped her dad’s surname in The Outsiders Playbill.
The dancer — who helped mum Jolie produce the Broadway play — was listed as “Vivienne Jolie” in the magazine for theatregoers.
