Casino Lions AFL players are ready to roar this Saturday.

It’s been a long time coming… for the first time in 20 years, Casino Lions Football Club will be playing Nimbin Demons on home turf at Queen Elizabeth Park this Saturday, August 16.

The Casino footy players are pumped — the Northern Rivers AFL Competition includes Casino, Lismore, Nimbin, Ballina, Lennox Head, Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads.

The comp runs for six weeks only and is designed to boost player numbers (and spectators) by hosting games at one location.

This Saturday is Casino’s turn.

Richmond Valley Council has made sure the grounds are in pristine condition for the first AFL match to be played in a long time.

The footy field at QE2 is ready for the game.

Kickoff is at noon for Casino Lions vs Nimbin Demons.

Lismore Swans vs Brunswick Bulldogs is at 1.30pm.

The canteen will be open.

Head to QE2 for an afternoon of footy tomorrow, Saturday, August 16.
