Kmart has issued a product recall due to concerns that a toy may not meet mandatory safety standards.
The ANKO Chick Silicone Teether was sold nationwide in Kmart and Target between July 11, 2025 and May 21, 2026.
“We take the quality and safety of our products very seriously,” Kmart said on Tuesday.
“Small parts of the toy may separate from the teether and pose a choking hazard.”

This poses a risk of serious injury or death if swallowed by children.
The teether has been removed from both Kmart and Target’s websites and from store shelves.
How do I know if I have a recalled product?
Customers have been urged to stop using the product immediately, keep it out of the reach of children and thoroughly check the surrounding area for loose pieces that may have detached.

To identify the product, shoppers need to check for an impacted SKU numbers.
These can be found on the product tag, box or barcode sticker, and is usually an eight-digit number.

Customers who purchased the product are eligible for a full refund when returning the item to the place of purchase.
The store of purchase should be contacted if you are unable to return the item in-store or if it’s been gifted.
