Sky News host Danica De Giorgio launched a blistering attack on Meghan Markle during a fiery television rant about the Duchess’s latest business move. The commentator accused Meghan of prioritising “money, fame and fortune” after she shared intimate wedding anniversary photos with Prince Harry on the same day she launched a new candle linked to her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
Speaking on Sky News Australia, De Giorgio said a brutal five words, stating: “She’s got no friends left.” The presenter mocked Meghan for posting previously unseen romantic pictures from her wedding anniversary celebrations and claimed that rumours about the Sussexes’ marriage continue to point to a breakup. De Giorgio said: “The manipulator of Montecito is desperate and absolutely throwing everything on the line for money, fame, and fortune.”
She also accused the Duchess of using her relationship with Harry to further her public profile and business ambitions.
During the segment, the host questioned why members of the Royal Family were absent from the anniversary photos Meghan shared online.
She said: “Can anyone see any members of the monarchy in those photos? No. Because, as always, it’s about Meghan. Brand Meghan.”
The broadcaster also referenced recent reports claiming the Sussexes had drifted away from some celebrity friends in Hollywood.
Citing reports about alleged tensions with A-list figures, including Oprah Winfrey and George Clooney, De Giorgio claimed Meghan had become increasingly isolated socially. She added: “Because Meghan is a user and abuser.”
The comments came after Meghan used Instagram to mark her wedding anniversary with a series of black-and-white photographs showing her and Harry dancing and celebrating together. At the same time, the Duchess also promoted a new candle launch connected to her As Ever brand.
The description for the candle reads: “Our signature scent. Modern and elegant. Love at first light. No. 519 is the feeling of warm sunshine and blue skies, surrounded by love and laughter; this signature candle is inspired by the ease and joy of a day that holds Meghan’s most cherished memories — her wedding day, May 19th…”
Meghan’s reps did not immediately respond to the Daily Express when asked for comment.
