REPCO’S ‘Bringin’ The Bathurst’ campaign, featuring Greg Murphy, Marcos Ambrose and Jim Richards, has taken home a major gong from the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Expo, claiming the Most Innovative Marketing Award.

The ‘Bathurst Bus Tours’ campaign began six weeks ahead of last year’s Repco Bathurst 1000, with the content series launched with a teaser involving Richards, who repeated his infamous ‘back of assholes’ quip when the bus failed to pick up the seven-time Bathurst 1000 winner.

Cameo appearances were also made by the ultimate 2026 Bathurst Matt Payne and 2024 victor Todd Hazelwood.

“Winning this award is a real recognition of the passion and hard work of the team and our world-class agency partners, and of course, the team at Supercars,” says Mitch Wiley, Executive General Manager Marketing at Repco.

“But what makes us proud is that this campaign genuinely connects with what gets race fans going.

“We don’t just sponsor the Repco Bathurst 1000 — we’re part of the crew. We get the passion, because we feel it too.”

Beyond the internet clip, the content was used for television commercials and outdoor advertising.

The flame-throwing bus was on-site during race week and used by Repco to provide actual tours of the circuit.

Repco’s content series began in 2021, and planning for the 2026 campaign is currently underway.
