One of the cutest things about having a pet is getting to bear witness to the unexpected friendships they form with other animals, especially when those animals are of a different species.

Just take the friendly fox and the curious black cat in this video, for instance. At first, one might think that the cat is in danger here, but that is simply not the case. These two are just playing a very wholesome game of hide and seek together in the backyard garden.

At first, it’s a little difficult to tell what is going on in this footage. Four legs and a tail are visible, while the head belonging to them is stuck in the bushes. Is this a small dog? This animal certainly seems to have a bushy tail like a dog.

But after a moment, the animal sticks their head out of the bushes, and it is clear that they are a fox. While this fox may now be out in the open, they are still seriously sniffing around the bushes in this garden, as though they are searching for something. What might it be?

All of a sudden, the answer presents itself, as a tiny black cat springs out of the bushes and towards the fox, as though they were playing peekaboo with a child.

The fox then retreats back into the bushes, and this little black cat is now the one sniffing around and searching for them.
