Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre caught the Habs fever.
The Alberta born-and-raised politician shared a video Wednesday evening on X of himself wearing a Montreal Canadiens jersey, standing outside the Bell Centre ahead of Game 4 in the semifinal series against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Standing beside him are Conservative Quebec MPs Jason Groleau, Pierre Paul-Hus and Gabriel Hardy, all wearing the team’s jersey.
“We’re here to support les Habitants!” Poilievre exclaimed in French. “Go Habs Go!”
Decades before becoming official opposition leader, Poilievre played amateur hockey as a 14-year-old, and reportedly supported the national sport during the 2026 Olympic Winter Games.
Also seen at the Bell Centre for Game 4 is longtime vocal Canadiens fan, former Quebec premier François Legault.
“Ready for Game 4!” he wrote in a post on X, featuring a photo of him in front of the Bell Centre rink.
