Grammy-winning R&B singer Ashanti is set to fire up her nostalgic back catalogue in Perth later this year as she brings her Rock Wit U tour to Australia and New Zealand.
The 2000s star will play at Perth’s Riverside Theatre on November 9, with shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland to follow.
Reaching global fame in 2002 with the release of her self-titled album, fans would recall early hits Foolish, Rock Wit U, and Unfoolish, which secured her number one spot on both the Billboard Top 200 and R&B Charts.
Today, her music is far from out of place in throwback party playlists, with a sound that fits seamlessly between mega stars Beyonce and Mariah Carey.
She expressed her excitement at returning to Aussie shores.

“Australia and New Zealand has always shown me so much love, and I’m so excited to be coming back this coming Fall for my “Rock Wit U” tour! The energy, the fans, the memories — it’s always so amazing. I can’t wait to Rock with you all! Australia and New Zealand get ready… we’re going to have a blast together!” Ashanti said.
The singer-songwriter claimed a Best Contemporary R&B Album Grammy award in 2003, has collected two American Music Awards, and released six studio albums.
Ashanti also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2022.
