Queensland Premier David Crisafulli has conceded that the state government’s preferred generative artificial intelligence assistant, QChat, has not been widely adopted by public servants and that alternative AI solutions may need to be considered.
Speaking at The Mandarin’s Future Ready Public Service conference in Brisbane, Crisafulli said it was important for government to stay ahead of the curve on AI, before admitting that QChat had not become a popular tool for the state’s public servants since its inception in 2024.
