Welcome back to another week of Rumor Roundup, where we dive into all the recent talk, transactions, and trends from around the league, balancing both fantasy baseball implications and real-world baseball analysis through the lens of a front office.

Featured Story

The Blue Jays promoted infielder Charles McAdoo earlier in the week, and while he doesn’t necessarily “wow” you with the numbers, he did not disappoint in his MLB Debut. The 24-year-old was slashing .250/.357/.432 with a 112 wRC+, fueled by a massive 14% walk rate through 50 games at the Triple-A level. McAdoo collected his first career hit in the majors — a solo HR (98.5 EV / 369 FT) — against the Jays’ division rival Orioles yesterday. He plays an average third base, can steal a base if necessary, and features good enough bat speed to impact high velo arms. He was also notoriously a bat that succeeded in same-handed matchups (vs. RHPs) in the minors.

McAdoo will look to continue that success today at Camden Yards.
