An experienced duo will return for the Cats on Sunday afternoon, with Geelong making two changes as they prepare to take on Sydney at the SCG.

After being managed and missing last week’s win over Essendon, Patrick Dangerfield and Jack Martin have both been added to the Cats’ line-up in a welcome boost for Geelong’s forward line.

Emerging midfielders Mitch Knevitt and Jhye Clark make way for the returning duo, with the pair listed as emergencies alongside Jed Bews. Geelong’s VFL team will also play in Sydney on Sunday morning.

It shapes as a must-win clash for the Cats in Round 23 as they prepare to do battle with the Swans, a victory would officially secure a Finals berth for Geelong heading into the final round of the home and away season.

Sitting in second position heading into the weekend, Geelong can solidify a top-four spot with a win against Sydney, before heading to the MCG to take on Richmond next week.

Sunday’s match will be broadcast live and free on Channel 7 from 3.00pm AEST, ahead of the opening bounce at 3.15pm. The game will also be shown on Fox Footy and streamed through Kayo from 3.00pm.
