FC Porto’s under-16 basketball team became three-time national champions after completely dominating the final stage held this weekend in Santo Tirso.
The Dragons won all three games, against CD Paço de Arcos (69-51), Galitos de Aveiro (89-49) and Sporting (66-59), thereby securing the national title for the third consecutive year.
On an individual level, Dinis Leal and João Cunha were named to the Final Stage Best Five, with the latter also being awarded the competition’s MVP (Most Valuable Player).
This under-16 title adds to the one won by the under-18s last week, but the Club’s youth basketball journey may not end there in 2025/26, as the under-14s will play their respective final stage in Albufeira next week.
