Team Selection

A special milestone set to be celebrated in Port Melbourne clash.

Five changes have been made to the side that two weeks ago defeated Williamstown by 11 points, with Premiership Pies Tom Mitchell and Will Hoskin-Elliott set to come into the side for the final clash of the VFL home-and-away season.

Fresh off AFL appearances, the two will add a wealth of experience to the VFL side who need the win over Port Melbourne to secure a top six ladder position, ensuring a finals berth.

A loss on Saturday will result in a do-or-die Wildcard clash.

Defenders Charlie Dean and Joel Cochran also return to the side along with VFL stalwart Tom Wilson, who will play his first game after injuring his calf in Round 6.

Saturday’s clash will mark 175 games for Wilson, who has enjoyed a 14-year career across the Northern Blues (now Bullants) and Collingwood.

The former Bullants captain and current Collingwood AFLW Head of Development has been rewarded with plenty of accolades in his career, including pipping future two-time Brownlow medallist Patrick Cripps in the Northern Blues’ best and fairest count in 2014.

Coming out of the VFL side is Billy Frampton and Wil Parker who have both been recalled for AFL duties, along with Ryan Eyre, Tom McCarthy, and Max Mahoney.

McCarthy, Eyre, Angus Seivers, Ned Byrne, Jake Watts, and Harrison Kennedy will be the emergencies for the clash.

Saturday’s clash with Port Melbourne will be streamed live and free on Collingwoodfc.com.au.
