US crime procedural ends at two seasons but producers hope to find a new home.
US crime procedural The Hunting Party has been axed by NBC after two seasons.
The series stars Melissa Roxburgh (Manifest), Nick Wechsler (Revenge), Patrick Sabongui (Homeland), Sara Garcia (Ride) and NZ’s Josh McKenzie (The Twelve, Five Bedrooms, La Brea).
However Universal Television, which produces the series, will look to find a new home. Lisa Katz, president scripted content for NBC and Peacock, told reporters ahead of NBC’s upfront in May that “we’re discussing all options” for The Hunting Party.
Season two averaged 3.7 million US viewers after a week of DVR playback (and not including streaming), down 13% from its first season.
It screens in Australia on Seven.
