After persuading Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn that she was worth a contract in the paid ranks, she waved goodbye to amateur boxing in 2016. She won her first world title, the WBA belt at lightweight, the following year when she outpointed Anahi Ester Sanchez on the undercard of Anthony Joshua-Carlos Takam at Cardiff, Wales’ Principality Stadium.
