Alexander Zverev reached the final of the French Open 2026 after beating Jakub Mensik in the semi-final on Friday, 7-5, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.

Zverev will now face Flavio Cobolli in the final after Matteo Arnaldi gave his compatriot a walkover in the other semi-final.

Arnaldi, who was suffering from a fever on the day of the semi-final, was forced to pull out due to his illness, and the Italian won’t be able to compete against his compatriot in the much-anticipated last-four game.

With Carlos Alcaraz pulling out of the French Open before the tournament started and Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic exiting the tournament early, Zverev is now the favourite to win the French Open 2026 title.
