OpenAI files blockbuster IPO with $US1 trillion valuation

New York | OpenAI has confidentially filed to go public in a blockbuster listing likely to value the ChatGPT creator at more than $US1 trillion ($1.4 trillion) as it races rival Anthropic to Wall Street.

OpenAI said on Monday (Tuesday AEST) that it had submitted a draft prospectus for its initial public offering to the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
