The Buffalo Bills have taken the field for the start of their 2026 NFL minicamp schedule this week.
The Bills kept things rolling on Day 2 of the three-day event on Wednesday.
It is the first time the fully team will be led by new head coach Joe Brady. The Bills took the field for OTA workouts in recent weeks but those are not mandatory. Minicamp is.

With the dust settling on the first day of workouts, here are Bills Wire’s three quick observations from Day 2 of 2026 minicamp:

CJ Gardner-Johnson steps up
The Bills’ have a starting safety job up for grabs on defense. It appears defensive back CJ Gardner-Johnson is currently leading the way in that potential battle by a lot. Gardner-Johnson reportedly had a few strong plays against the starting offense led by quarterback Josh Allen, which included an interception:
Bishop injury news
The Bills’ other starting safety is Cole Bishop, but he has missed spring practices because of injury. He updated his status from practice as Bishop indicated he had some minor work done on his knee this offseason:
Keon shines
Everyone knows wide receiver Keon Coleman has to step up in Year 3 of his career. He said it himself. Multiple reports from practice said Coleman shined on Day 2 of minicamp with a few nice catches, including these two:
