The #15 BMW M Team WRT outfit will start the 2026 Le Mans 24 Hours from pole position following a dramatic qualifying session.
Pole had initially gone to the #38 Cadillac Hertz Team Jota crew after Jack Aitken broke his own lap record; however, the team was penalised and demoted to 10th for leaving its garage too early.
It is the sister #12 Cadillac that will join the #15 BMW on the front row, while last year’s winners, the #83 AF Corse Ferrari crew, will start from 17th. The highest-placed Toyota is 14th.
In LMP2, the #29 Forestier Racing by Panis entry lines up on class pole and is joined on the front row by the #28 IDEC Sport car. The #43 Inter Europol Competition team, which claimed LMP2 victory 12 months ago, starts fourth in class.
Finally, in LMGT3, the #27 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin secured class pole ahead of the #21 Vista AF Corse Ferrari.
