At some point, the Baltimore Ravens may grow tired of hearing the same conversation. Their fans arrived at that destination long ago. Every year, they enter the season with one of the NFL’s most talented rosters.

Every year, they are mentioned among the league’s legitimate Super Bowl contenders. And, yes… Every year, someone asks whether this will finally be the season they put everything together when it matters most. The expectations aren’t going away anytime soon.

The Ravens still possess elite talent and rank among the NFL’s best teams

Recently, FOX Sports’ Ralph Vacchiano released his NFL contender tiers. He placed the Ravens among an exclusive group of four teams he believes are capable of making a serious championship run.

The New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills, and Philadelphia Eagles are the other three. It’s another reminder that, despite a few lingering concerns, Baltimore remains one of the NFL’s most respected organizations. It’s easy to understand why.

Any discussion about Baltimore begins with Lamar Jackson, one of the most dynamic players the sport has ever seen. Pairing him with Derrick Henry gives the Ravens one of the league’s most dangerous offensive combinations and a formula capable of overwhelming opponents on any given Sunday.

The roster extends well beyond those two stars. Baltimore continues to field a physical defense, strong offensive line play, and the type of depth that allows teams to withstand the inevitable challenges of a long season. That’s why Vacchiano included them among his top contenders. Even so, he acknowledged that the Ravens are not without questions.

Vacchiano specifically noted that confidence in Baltimore requires some faith in first-year head coach Jesse Minter. New coaches always bring uncertainty, regardless of how talented the roster may be.

Health also remains a critical factor. The Ravens are at their best when Jackson and Henry are available and operating at full strength. If either misses significant time, Baltimore’s championship hopes become considerably more complicated.

Still, those concerns aren’t enough to overshadow the bigger picture. The Ravens possess elite talent, proven star power, and an organization that consistently puts itself in a position to compete for championships.

Until someone proves otherwise, Baltimore belongs exactly where Vacchiano placed them: among the NFL’s true Super Bowl contenders. The next step is proving they can finish the journey that so many believe they’re capable of taking.
