Delta Goodrem is heading to the ballroom on the UK television show Strictly Come Dancing.
The Eclipse singer was revealed to be joining the show, which is very similar to Dancing with the Stars, this morning after days of speculation following her incredible performance at Eurovision.

The announcement was made on the shows official Instagram account, with a video showing a disco ball before Delta’s face pops up.
The caption reads: “The Strictly Come Dancing class of 2026 is growing. She’s performed on the world’s biggest stages and the #Strictly ballroom is next. It’s Delta Goodrem!!”
Goodrem also shared the news to her own page, although she didn’t add any further comments.
Just last week, the singer dodged rumours she was joining the cast while in an interview with Virgin Media Television.
When the host asked her if there was “any truth to the rumours” that she would appear on the show, Goodrem replied: “I’m always open.”
Pushing further, the host asked her if she had been in any conversations with the producers of the show,
“Nothing’s confirmed,” she said “It would definitely be a departure from my world because I (play) piano even though I like to dance. I love dancing.”

She added that despite her love for dancing she confessed she would be “worried” about stepping into that environment.
“I would be worried about like stepping in like going into it, I’d have to work very, very hard – but I’m open to it,” she said.
Offering words of support, the hosts added that she “smashed it” at Eurovision, adding that “she’d be fine” on the ballroom floor.
Despite Goodrem’s performance being a fan-favourite, she missed out on claiming the Eurovision crown.
The singer contained her reaction after her loss, counting down to the end of the voting with her husband Matthew Copley by her side.
“That’s it,” she said in an Instagram story, before going to her husband’s side and hugging him.
“That’s it, votes are done” she said, shrugging and gesturing with her hand up in defeat. It seemed as if her eyes were misty, and she was holding back tears as she processed her loss.

Australia placed fourth with 287 points, behind Romania with 296 points, Israel with 343 points, and the winner Bulgaria, who won with 516 points.
Aussie friends and fans of Delta rallied to support her after her loss.
Dami Im, who came second in 2016’s Eurovision contest and announced Australia’s votes for the contest this year, penned a tribute to her fellow competitor.
“Delivered the absolute top tier performance..🌙” Im shared on Instagram, alongside an image of Goodrem performing, “Experienced all the emotions with you.. the adrenaline, the ecstasy, the nerves, the highs and lows, all of it. You did Australia proud!” she said.
Singer-songwriter Bella Paige wrote, “DELTA!!! Absolutely amazing! You’ve made Australia so proud ❤️🔥”
One fan declared her, “THE WINNER THE WORLD DESERVES!!“, while another said, “Delta was ROBBED of this win!… This was the best song, vocal and performance in the last decade at Eurovision. She is epic!”
Australia appeared to be the crowd favourite, according to UK TV host Graham Norton, who noted from the ground, “If the audience could crown a winner right now, they would give it Australia. I hope her star power doesn’t go against her.”
Delta’s hit song, Eclipse, helped her make it to the Grand Final alongside countries including Malta, Denmark, Norway, Albania and Cyprus.
For her show-stopping performance, Goodrem wore a gold glittering dress and was on a raising platform as she belted out the song, wowing fans.
Pyrotechnics also went off behind her, as she performed to cheers from the crowd.
However, it was not enough to clinch victory.
