After Partizan Belgrade’s trophy-less season concluded with a loss to Dubai Basketball, American guard Duane Washington announced he is leaving the team. Washington, who averaged 14.9 points in the EuroLeague, expressed gratitude to the fans and club as he prepares for his next career challenge.

A home loss to Dubai Basketball saw Partizan drop the ABA League Finals series 3-1, marking their first trophy-less season since 2022.
In a post-game interview, Duane Washington revealed that he will leave the Serbian powerhouse this summer.
“Yeah, this was my final game with Partizan. I’d love it to have a different outcome with a better situation, but it is what it is,” Washington started.
“I don’t have anything bad to say about my stint here. Though we endured a lot, I reflect back and remember only the support and the good times. That is what I will take with me.”
Washington is uncertain of his next destination, yet he hopes for a warm reception when he eventually returns to Beogradska Arena as an opponent:
“I don’t know if Bayern is my next destination. We will find that out when the time comes. Wherever my career continues, I’ll look forward to a new challenge and an opportunity.”
“I hope that one day I’ll receive support when I come back here. As I said, I can only say beautiful stuff about everything that happened to me in Partizan. Love and respect towards this club will stay with me,” Washington concluded.
The American guard spent his first two seasons in Europe with the Belgrade-based club, averaging 14.9 points across just 23 games during an injury-hampered EuroLeague campaign.
