Cameron Munster could be a Storm player for life.
That is according to Code Sports, who are reporting Melbourne bosses are reportedly planning to table their star five-eighth a new deal to stave off rival bids.
Munster is without a deal for the 2028 season, meaning he will become a free agent come November 1 is he doesn’t extend his stay at the Storm.

However, Storm supremo Matt Tripp has made it clear he wants to keep the Queensland skipper at the club, despite interest from rugby union.
“We don’t want Cam going anywhere,” Tripp said.
“If he wants to go on, we will definitely look at another deal. We will find a way to make it (a contract extension for 2028) happen.
“That’s on the proviso that no one comes and blows us out of the water. Maybe Cam won’t get another offer, but we hear noise all the time and I’m awake to that.
“We’ll do what we can to keep him.”
Munster has previously been subject of poaching raids from the Dolphins and the Perth Bears, and his current contract would allow him to make the move to the PNG Chiefs for their debut season in 2028.

The 31-year-old could reportedly field offers worth around $1.4 million per-season on the open market, however the Storm will reportedly make attempts to stop him from reaching November 1 without a fresh deal.
“I would be surprised if he went to PNG,” Tripp said.
“Cam has three young kids so living in the PNG compound, I don’t know if Cameron would do that. He is settled in Melbourne, I think he and his lovely wife Bianca are happy here and I’ve told Cam I want him to finish his career with us.
“He has taken less money with us in the past when he has better offers. I’m not saying that will happen this time. He may get crazy offers.”
